Get Harry In A Car – It’s Deadline Day!

Time is running out – Harry’s car is run… the reporters are at the team gro… the deadline is at ele… oh come on, what kind of transfer deadline day is this if NONE of those are correct!?! That aside, things have been pretty hectic this summer and it all ends at 6PM today (over here at least – just as a heads-up to anyone who’s thinking of doing a transfer to Spain today, it ain’t happening). So we might not have Redknapp doing interviews from his car window, but... Read More

Home Is Where The Hart Is – Just Ask Spurs Fans!

Talk to any football fan, and they’ll tell you their biggest passion, their love, desire and more lives within their home stadium. However, for Tottenham Hotspur fans, things could be taken a little more literally. They say “home is where the heart is”, but when you go to White Hart Lane – you could say “home is where the Hart is” – so we’ve decided to make that... Read More

The New League Season Is Almost Here!

It hardly feels like a few moments ago since Chelsea prized the Premiership title away from Manchester for the first time since 2010, and yet we’re now less than a week away from the new season kicking it all off again. As mentioned earlier, Chelsea are defending their Premier League Title against 19 more challengers – of which Bournemouth make their first ever appearance, plus the return of Watford and Norwich to the top tier will make this season, pretty much like every year, a nail-biter from top to bottom.... FIFA 16: Lionel Messi and…

…Alex Morgan. At least, if you live in the USA, that is. The upcoming EA Sports game FIFA 16 is to feature different players on their covers, depending on your location – and in North America it’ll feature a woman for the first time ever. Alex Morgan (pictured, left) has almost 100 caps for her national side America with 52 goals, and recently won the Women’s World Cup with them. Despite rehabilitating a knee injury prior to the tournament, she played in all seven games and despite only one goal, she... Read More

Football’s Silly Season Commences: How Many Sterlings For Sterling!?!

With about a month or so left until the beginning of the 2015/16 football league season, transfers (and the rumours) are flying around wildly. Manchester United are standing firm on David de Gea, Stoke City have picked up Glen Johnson – but all the talk right now is of the Raheem Sterling deal between Liverpool and Manchester City, set to be £49 million. Since this has gone on, a lot of talk has been going on within the Football world as to Sterling’s value. So far, he’s made 92 Premier... Read More

FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 Final: The Stage Is Set

So here we go. We now know the final of the 2015 World Cup Final. First off, reaching the finals for their fourth time is the USA. Beating the goal scoring machine that were the Germans during the tournament 2-0 shows that America’s defense has been that much stronger – in fact, only Australia in the opening match have managed to put one behind USA so far, which is bad news for their opponents and defending champions Japan. For Japan, this sets up a rematch of the World Cup Final of... Read More

Women’s Football Takes the Spotlight

Amidst all the corruption scandals, boring friendly internationals and summer break, one thing is shining away in Football right now – and that’s the women of the sport. There’s plenty to be happy about if you’re a fan of the women playing the beautiful game: for the first time ever, women’s international teams will feature in the FIFA video game series (see right, a screenshot from the upcoming FIFA 16), and of course right now the Women’s World Cup is taking place in Canada. At this early point in the... Read More

FA Cup Final: All in the A’s

So when it came down to it all… all we had to do to get our FA Cup final was pick the first two teams alphabetically in the Premier League. The final, taking place this weekend pits Aston Villa – who managed to hang on to their Premier League status this season – against 3rd placed (and current FA Cup holders) Arsenal. It seems inevitable as to who should win this one, but as we’ve seen even just 2 years ago with Wigan and Manchester City, it can be anything... Read More
