Kieron Dyer Enters the Jungle for I’m A Celebrity 2015!

Former Newcastle United and England midfielder Kieron Dyer is joining 9 other celebrities down under for this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on ITV, starting Sunday.

Dyer made 33 appearances for England between 1999 and 2007, and had his longest club spell at Newcastle United in the same period. He last played for Middlesbrough in 2013, before hanging up his boots.

The 36 year-old is one of two sports personalities entering the jungle from the get-go, alongside boxer Chris Eubank. They’re joined by musicians Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet) and George Shelley (Union J), alongside X-Factor Creative Director Brian Friedman. From the world of TV, there’s former Blue Peter and current Most Haunted presenter Yvette Fielding, former Dragon from Dragon’s Den Duncan Bannatyne, Susannah Constantine from Trinny & Susannah and Hollyoaks’ Jorgie Porter. Lastly, Royal Biographer Lady Colin Campbell completes the ten going in.

Dyer will possibly face a range of challenges – from eating disgusting things to crawling through them. Read his thoughts here (external website).

Of course, we know more end up going in, but who…?

Dyer says he’s afraid of spiders and snakes, but follows up saying there is “no way” he’s going to look like a wuss on TV!

On top of this, Kieron is not doing this for the fortunes – he’s donating his entire fee for doing the show to the Jude Brady Foundation, a local charity near and dear to him, which we think is pretty dang awesome.

Good luck Kieron, show ’em what you’re made of!
