Kieron Dyer Finishes 4th in I’m A Celebrity 2015

From a quiet, modest member of the jungle to one of the leading banter makers – Kieron Dyer suddenly came to life in the second half of his time in Australia, just missing out on a place in the final of ITV’s “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” this past weekend.

He was part of a double elimination this past Saturday alongside Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter, who finished 5th. Left in the camp for the final day was 3rd placed Ferne McCann, runner up George Shelley and Queen of the Jungle Vicky Patterson.

Dyer started off making a close friendship with boxer Chris Eubank and Lady Colin Campbell (known better as Lady C during her time in the jungle), and as a trio won a night at the Jungle Boutique Hotel, but battle lines would be drawn as Spandau Ballet lead singer Tony Hadley and Jorgie refused to be their Chambermaid and Bell Boy – leaving the hard-headed Lady C clashing with a vicious war of words against Hadley, as well as Brian Friedman, Duncan Bannatyne and Yvette Fielding. Dyer, who didn’t necessarily want to be involved, was seen to be due to defending Lady C – when all he wanted was unity in the camp.

Kieron Dyer was about to quit halfway through the series, until Chris Eubank (right) convinces him to stay the course.

The stress led him to initially quit the show – packing his stuff and saying the infamous quote – but after a sit-down chat with Chris Eubank, his mindset went a full 180 – he wasn’t going to quit and be beaten by what was going on. Instead, his focus was on winning the entire contest.

Not long after this, Eubank became the fourth celebrity voted off, before Lady C left on medical grounds mere moments after. Dyer found himself without his two closest friends in the jungle – but with Lady C gone, the general morale of the camp was boosted, and Kieron became much more open and bubbly.

He had fun with the bushtucker trials – including winning a battle against Vicky and Tony of removing stars (with his tongue!), an interesting flop with Jorgie in the heist, but nailing “Scarea 52”, where he came face-to-face with an Ostrich!

Come the end, Kieron became the one to try and start the spark between a possible romance between George and Ferne, and loved his final trial – the ever popular Celebrity Cyclone.

Dyer was voted off on Saturday in 4th place, pictured with Jorgie Porter who finished 5th.

So, it ended one day before the end and in 4th place – for someone who was barely heard from in the beginning of the series, quite an impressive feat. And to top it off, Newcastle beat Liverpool the next day!
