50 and OUT!
The future of the current England manager Roy Hodgson lies in his own hands. Recent major tournaments England have comfortably qualified for the tournament without alarm, but we find ourselves in the same position again not knowing our best team? The average Premier League player can look good against the likes of San Marino and Lithuania; it’s the big games in major tournaments that separate the very best.
Roy Hodgson has come to his biggest decision whether to stick or twist?
STICK with what he knows? A team that is solid and resolute like 2 years ago in Brazil but failed to hurt the oppositions defence.
OR
TWIST take a chance and attack the Euro’s, play the likes of Barkley and Wilshire in the same midfield, don’t be frightened to drop the so called best players. If Hodgson is going to play this formation the two most important players on the pitch are your loan striker and your sitting midfielder. Rooney unfortunately cannot play this role anymore, the number 9 needs pace, strength and work rate (Sturridge or Kane would be the pick) The holding midfield role is your key (The Pirlo role) Michael Carrick seems like the only option with Jordon Henderson.
Does Wayne Rooney deserve another chance in a major tournament? Playing him because he’s our Captain in my opinion will be Hodgson’s biggest mistake.
